photographer: model, make up, hair: me! wardrobe: Artifice
I recently had a little road trip fun. I departed from LA and drove through Las Vegas, Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, and in between, before arriving in Austin! This particular photo is from just over two weeks ago, near Oklahoma City. I think I'm getting a little bit better with hair, which has never been my strong point.
It's a little difficult critiquing a collaborative piece of this nature but I'll give it a shot. I'll start with the photography and composition. The image is very sharp and the lighting is professional. The set is cool, the intense pink and the black glossy (liquid latex?) splatters and drips all appear to be oozing out from the other side of the door and reflect the outfit in the environment. Black and pink always look striking and sexy together.
But there are some things that don't work or don't fully explore the concept. The off kilter angle isn't extreme enough to be interesting and not straight enough to benefit from the tall format. The cruddy floor detracts from the "fantasy" of the piece. If there was more griminess to balance it, it would be more part of the world of the image, as it is, it's just a cruddy floor. More of the black drips pooling out from under the door might have helped (and a broom wouldn't have hurt either).
Your makeup looks great. And it's pretty hard to make these sorts of fetish outfits look bad when an attractive model (that's you) is in them. You mentioned the hair: it's not bad but a more elaborate styling could have added that extra but of slick polish.
Don't take any of this wrong, the image isn't bad, in fact it's pretty decent. But a bit more polish could have pushed it from decent to great.
Man I think that's hot, The lighting is very nice. The pose gives off a feeling of a delicate, sensual inviting feel, yet also a feel of control and awareness. And the outfit just enhances that feel, to me. Nice boots
Wow. That's realy lovely and sexy shot. The fact that you wear a similar outfit that I used in one of my paintings makes it even more attractive for me. Beautifull!
